A well-established manufacturer in the steel reinforcement industry is seeking an experienced Fitter to join their afternoon shift team.

Working on the afternoon shift, you will play a key role in maintaining and servicing machinery used in the production of mesh and reinforcing bar. The position involves both preventative maintenance and breakdown support to ensure smooth, continuous operations across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on production equipment
- Work with machinery related to mesh and bar processing (cutting, bending, welding lines)
- Minimise downtime through efficient troubleshooting
- Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures
To be successful, you will possess the following:
- Trade-qualified Fitter (Mechanical)
- Previous experience in manufacturing, ideally within steel, mesh, or bar environments
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently on an afternoon shift
- Commitment to workplace safety and team collaboration
