About the Role:
- Support of recruitment activities where required from end-to-end. Process work permits for overseas candidates as required.
- Prepare employment paperwork and contracts. Conduct induction for new joiners.
- Sound understanding of current Australian industrial legislation including Awards interpretation.
- Provide HR advice across the full employee lifecycle, including policy interpretation,grievance handling and investigations.
- Provide training on systems and administers the completion of appraisals in a timely manner.
- Organising training and development for all staff, keeping record of each Support of training initiatives and workshop facilitation.
- Conduct Exit Interviews with employees.
- Review and update HR policies in compliance with Australian law.
- Assist with the budget preparation and data entry in the HR Management System.
- Provide employees with advice and guidance of how to address, deal with or rectify the problem.
- Deal with all grievances and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure that all employee data are updated.
- Monthly HR reporting (HR, HSE and others). Special projects from Regional or HQ. HR statistics and dashboard. Regulatory liaison, update and administration.
- Other HR related task and ad hoc project as assigned.
- Support the Site Manager for all HR-related problem-solving and decision-making.
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Human Resource Management
- Minimum 3-5 years of Human Resources experience in a similar role
- Strong and proven knowledge of the Fairwork Act, Australian workplace law and Awards o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Presentation Skills & Strong Microsoft Office products knowledge
- Knowledge of Workers Compensation Claims
