As a Marketing Assistant, you will be directly working in:
Marketing and Promotions
- Work with the Sales & Marketing team and contribute new product launch ideas and implement marketing concepts.
- Identify advertising opportunities and in-store promotion opportunities. Participate in or conduct promotional exhibitions if the opportunity presents itself or when required.
- Support the development and distribution of marketing and sales materials.
- Assist in the production of advertising, marketing brochures or other promotional materials.
- Liaison with printers for advertising artwork design to ensure all deadlines are met and work with administrators to ensure prices remain competitive.
- Coordinate marketing/ promotional events, e.g. Food shows, festivals, media announcements, product demonstrations etc.
- Manage the end-to-end process of competitions, lucky draws and communication with suppliers on expectations and artwork.
Marketing Research
- Conduct market research and report on current market trends, new products and industry trends;
- Conduct competitor analysis and report on competitor activities;
- Conduct consumer analysis; identify consumer (end users) and customers' (retails and food services) needs and recommend appropriate product ranges to achieve profitable growth;
- Design questionnaires and conduct marketing surveys to better understand consumers' buying preferences, their perception of products, etc.;
- Visit stores for best/worst seller meetings.
Website management
- Maintain the company's website and ensure all content is up to date.
- Database development and maintenance.
Sales Reporting
- Reporting of the company's sales performance through relevant marketing reports.
General Administration
- Perform clerical and administrative support duties for the department, including filing, maintaining records and files and other duties as required by your Manager.
- Be the contact for most print and cable marketing, e.g. Newspapers, magazines, and TVBJ.
Our ideal candidate
Our ideal candidate has at least one year of experience in Marketing or similar roles, is driven and looking for an opportunity to grow in an environment where your development is supported and your ideas are valued.
The following are essential attributes to be considered for this role:
- Proven marketing administration experience
- Chinese speaking skills (mandatory)
- Strong PC skills and experience with MS Office applications
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Self-motivation, driven and pro active
- A team player
- Exposure to the food industry is desirable
