An established, market-leading technical services organisation is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead a high-performing field team responsible for service, maintenance and repair across a defined geographical area.

About the role
Reporting to the Service Operations Manager, you will lead, coach and manage a team of field technicians, ensuring safe, compliant and high-quality service delivery while driving performance and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supervising a field service team, including onboarding, performance management and day-to-day field leadership
- Driving individual and team KPIs aligned to operational, safety and customer outcomes
- Coaching, mentoring and developing employees through structured training and in-field support
- Embedding a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all WHS, environmental and legislative requirements
- Partnering with sales and internal stakeholders to support customer relationships, cost estimates and portfolio growth
- Ensuring quality systems, processes and documentation are followed and continuously improved
- Managing assets including company vehicles, tools and equipment
- Conducting audits, surveys and inspections to validate service quality and drive continuous improvement
- Acting as Duty Supervisor on a rostered basis, supporting after-hours operations when required
- Providing coverage across additional service territories when needed to support operational demand
About You
You are a confident, people-focused leader with a strong background in field operations or technical services. You know how to balance accountability with support, and you're comfortable leading teams in a regulated, safety-critical environment.
You will bring:
- Proven experience (5+ years) managing or supervising teams in a service, construction or trades-based environment
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- A practical understanding of safety, compliance and quality systems
- The ability to coach, develop and motivate technical teams
- Strong organisational skills and comfort working with digital tools and reporting systems
- A solutions-focused mindset and the ability to perform under pressure
Trade or technical qualifications and/or an electrical licence are desirable but not essential for candidates with strong leadership capability.
