We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and experienced HR Advisor to join our client's business in a standalone role with autonomy to own the role and function. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will form part of the senior management team, partnering with divisional leaders to ensure organisational objectives and business growth are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of the HR strategy and operational plan.
- Proactively coach, support and advise divisional leaders on a range of HR matters including recruitment, performance management, L&D and employee entitlements.
- Champion and implement HR initiatives to increase employee engagement and contribute to a positive working culture.
- Appropriately challenge divisional leaders to ensure the best outcome of people related matters are achieved.
- End to end recruitment for vacancies.
- Oversee WHS and management of workers' compensation claims in conjunction with divisional leaders and external providers.
- Prepare compliant employment documentation.
- Maintain the Company's HRIS and other databases.
About you
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a HR advisory capacity, preferably within fast paced medium sized organisations.
- Demonstrated experience supporting, coaching, and advising leaders at varying levels on a broad range of HR matters.
- Strong understanding and application of Employee Relations and Legislative Framework.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management.
- Commercial acumen
- High-level problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues or problems and recommend strategies, ideas, and opportunities for resolving them.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills with an ability to build rapport with a culturally diverse group at varying levels.
- A continuous improvement mindset.
- Chinese language skills will be advantageous, but not essential.
