About the role
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the following:
- Working in cold storage
- Inspect machinery daily pre and post-shift
- Performing starts up and shut-down procedures
- Following batch production direction
- Machine troubleshooting
- Control and adjust machine setting
- Quality control including weighing material, metal detector
- Material Handling
- Quality control
- Manual Handling
To be successful, you will possess the following:
- 1-5years food manufacturing industry experience
- 1-5years Machine operating experience.
- Experience in machine safety startup and changeovers.
- Experience in quality and compliance checks such as - Metal checks / weight checks / gas checks / seal checks per quality guidelines.
- Experience managing changeover on the production line including using tools/ techniques/ PPE/ Chemical
- Experience and the ability to read and understand SOP's/Work Instructions (WI)
- Basic computer skills and experience with production and manufacturing systems (i.e. MES)
- Able to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive.
- Check the output of the machines and identify any issues.
- Good understanding of production procedures (GMP) and best practices.
- Excellent knowledge of safety methods and hazard regulations.
- A flexible approach to working hours, some public holidays may be required & weekend work may be required
