About the role
As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for the following:
- Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure minimal downtime
- Installation of automated machinery
- Collaborate in cross-functional projects to support colleagues with plant modifications or new installations
- Identify and suggest improvements to plant and equipment to enhance efficiency, yield and safety
- Document all maintenance records in an organized manner
To be successful, you will possess the following:
- Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade
- Minimum 5 years experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- An understanding of PLC's, sensors & communicators within automated machinery
- Able to work a rotating shift pattern
- Fabrication/welding experience required
- Forklift licence/ confined space licence and working at heights licenced highly regarded
