Our client has a position for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their modern warehouse out at Truganina. In this role, you'll be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our Materials Handling Systems (MHS) and other freight equipment.

About the role
As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for the following:
- Working across a rotating roster of 5am to 1pm and 1pm to 9pm.
- Able to work bridge shifts, 7am - 4pm
- Complete one morning Saturday shift each month
- Perform diagnostic tests, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical malfunctions in the MHS.
- Follow maintenance plans to prevent equipment breakdowns and perform necessary repairs to restore functionality.
- Support the clearance of faults and material jams, utilizing our Computerised Maintenance Management System (MEX) for scheduling.
- Maintain accurate records, check SCADA for error messages, and monitor spare part availability.
- Uphold safety standards, ensuring a zero-injury environment, and foster a professional image with customers and suppliers.
- Running diagnostic tests
To be successful, you will possess the following:
- Demonstrated/ Proven experience in an automation warehouse setting working with mechanical drives (gearboxes, conveyor belting), pneumatics and hydraulic equipment (solenoid valves, cylinders, flow regulators).
- Strong technical understanding of automated control systems in Materials Handling Systems (MHS) or high-speed processing environments.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and ability to read mechanical assembly drawings.
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering designs, installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Experience working with SCADA systems (desired)
- Mechanical Trade qualifications
- Occasional public holiday work
- Physically fit, able to lift up to 25 kgs
- Restricted electrical license (connect/disconnect) - desirable.
- Full working rights - full time hours.
- Own car and PPE
- Must successfully pass a Drug & Alcohol test
