Your main duties will be:
- Conducting maintenance, repairs, and installations on a variety of equipment, including rail systems (Alstom, North Queensland Rail), cranes, and car stacker systems
- Performing troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
- Utilizing specialized tools and equipment to complete mechanical tasks accurately and efficiently
- Installing and commissioning new equipment, including car stacker systems, in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to coordinate work activities and meet project deadlines.
- Always adhering to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Essential requirements for these roles include:
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter.
- Proven experience working with rail systems, cranes, and car stacker systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Familiarity with German car stacker systems and installation practices is highly desirable.
- Experience working with Lendlease on crane installation and service projects.
- Willingness to undertake interstate travel occasionally for installation and service projects, with accommodation provided for extended stays.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
