About the Role
Our client is a well-established and highly respected organisation operating community-focused recreation and leisure facilities across Sydney. They are currently preparing to open a brand-new, state-of-the-art recreation centre in Alexandria (one street away from Perry Park) scheduled for mid-2026. In preparation, they are expanding their casual pool to support both the new facility and the increasing demand at their existing centre.
This role will support the operations and program delivery across recreation facilities, assisting with the planning, delivery, and administration of community programs and services. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality customer service, safe facility operations, and positive community outcomes in a busy, customer-focused environment.Benefits
* Casual position with flexible, varied hours
* Hourly rate of $33.46 + super

Key Responsibilities
* Plan, implement, and evaluate recreational programs that support social inclusion, community connection, and wellbeing
* Support the day-to-day operations of recreation facilities and programs
* Deliver high-quality customer service to community members, contractors, and stakeholders
* Assist with bookings, enquiries, and general facility administrationCustomer Service & Administration
* Build and maintain positive relationships with facility users and stakeholders
* Respond to customer enquiries and issues in a professional and timely manner
* Complete administrative tasks to support safe and effective facility operationsSafety & Compliance
* Ensure programs and facilities operate in line with safety procedures and guidelines
* Assist with basic safety checks, incident reporting, and compliance requirements
* Promote a safe and welcoming environment for all usersAbout You
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience planning and delivering recreational programs or events (e.g. sporting competitions)
* Experience working in a high-demand, customer-focused or recreation environment (preferred)
* Ability to work across multiple locations within the Local Government area
* Availability to work across a 7-day roster, including weekends and evenings
* Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
* Current Working With Children Check or Willingness to obtainSkills & Capabilities
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Good organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
* Reliable, flexible, and able to work a varied roster
* Team-oriented with a positive, proactive attitude
