The Role:
Warehouse and Distribution Manager - reporting to Board of Directors
This role is situated in Melbourne and has an immediate start Available!
Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee the entire warehouse operation
- Managing a team of 50+
- Forecasting, planning, inventory control and budgeting reporting
- Manage resources effectively and minimise costs as per company directions
- Develop policies and procedures around warehouse systems & food safety for 2000+ skus across dry, chilled and frozen goods
- Manage implementation of WMS and hence staff training
- Ensure compliance with OHS & food safety legislation. Assess and rectify potential hazards or non-compliance and implement best practice procedures
- Lead, motivate and engage team members by applying effective people management processes and practices
- Conduct staff assessments of competence against job standards and criteria
- Build and promote a positive and efficient team environment
- Complete administrative tasks in an accurate and timely manner
- Ensure housekeeping and safe work practices are adhered to
- Focus on the continuous improvement of systems and processes
- Must have WMS and Microsoft Office experience
The Candidate:
- Warehouse and Distribution management experience in Supply Chain and Logistics experience a must!
- Must be able to lead by example!
- Previous experience liaising with transport companies is a must
- Inventory planning and control experience
- FMCG experience, food industry advantageous
- Experience in leading teams that include casuals and contractors
- Strong experience in driving safety systems in the workplace
- Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across all departments
- Knowledge of quality systems desirable
- Ability to build and develop teams and individuals
- Must have WMS and Microsoft Office experience
