Our client is an award-winning organisation, and they have an opportunity for an experienced Waste Centre Operator to join their Waste Recovery Centre team ASAP. You will be collecting rubbish by operating our clients tip trucks and their loaders to move and transfer waste around the Banyule community and the waste yard.

About the role
As a Waste Centre Operator you will be responsible for the following:
- Driving our clients tip trucks to collect waste from customers
- Operate our clients loader (front end/backhoe) and forklift to transport waste around the yard.
- Carry out routine pre-start checks and maintenance on the trucks
- Billing and invoicing customers using eftpos terminal.
- Resolve conflict - be able to deal with irate customers.
- Provide assistance with removal of contaminates (including asbestos removal).
- Assist with weighbridge operations (loading up scales).
- Assist with any other general labourer duties as directed by the client.
To be successful, you will possess the following:
- Experienced operating tip trucks, loaders and forklifts in a waste environment
- Must have good customer service - dispute resolution high desirable
- Must have the following tickets: HC, Loader operator ticket, High Risk LF
- Confident with using technology - tablets and eftpos machines
- Physically fit, able to lift up to 25 kgs
- Current police check
- Full working rights in Australia
- Own car and PPE
