Our client is a market leader in steel galvanising who supply to a wide range of industries including, mining, oil and gas, infrastructure, construction, and fabrication.

Due to continued growth, a rare opportunity has become available for an afternoon shift supervisor/coordinator role!

About the Role:

To supervise, co-ordinate and train the production team to achieve prescribed production and quality targets. Trains & develops employees to ensure a flexible workforce. Has close relationship with production team, builds and develops the company culture.

Your duties will include:


  • Co-ordinate production flow in accordance with approved schedules
  • Oversee the correct use of machinery and equipment
  • Operate relevant machinery in factory
  • Hands on and interactive exposure within the factory
  • Liaise with management on any issues needing escalation

· Take action to alert management of any Difot failures

  • Completion of daily shift report and liaise with management regarding leave requirements to meet business needs


  • Supervise the work of process workers and all trade staff
  • Coordinate training and discipline of staff
  • Manage Shift skills Matrix
  • Lead in Performance Management reviews
  • Manage shift performance to Nepean KPI's Eg. Dipping, Jigging etc.
  • Coordinate employee or contract call out (out of operating hours) for maintenance as required

About You:

The Ideal Candidate:

  • High School certificate and /or tertiary qualification and/or trade in a related discipline
  • Min 5 - 10 years' experience in production or substantial practical production experience
  • Steel and galvanising industry experience highly regarded
  • Certificate IV Management
  • Dogging Licence
  • Forklift Licence
  • White Card
  • Confined Space

· Have full working rights within Australia
