We're currently recruiting on behalf of a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions for a Distribution Agent. Based near the airport, this full-time role involves coordinating freight movements, processing customer orders, and supporting daily logistics operations. About the role:
As a distribution agent, you will be responsible for the following:
- Process daily customer orders and manage distribution accounts accurately
- Generate shipping paperwork and ensure orders meet all customer and compliance requirements
- Perform data entry for receiving order allocation, inventory updates, and dispatch
- Communicate with clients regarding order status, issues, and changes
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate shipments
- Maintain accurate billing and shipping records; escalate discrepancies as needed
- Provide reports and updates to management on daily operations
- Handle transport bookings and liaise with carriers for pickups and deliveries
- Comply with all safety regulations and internal operational standards
To be successful, you will possess the following:
- Minimum of 12 months experience in logistics, freight, or distribution administration
- Full-time, unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Excel and MS Word; knowledge of transport processes is a plus
- Positive, professional attitude with strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn
- Professional presentation and a strong, customer-focused approach
