About the Role:
- As a Purchasing Officer, you will:
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders in an MRP system
- Maintain stock levels and coordinate with suppliers to prevent shortages
- Monitor lead times, production schedules, and potential shortfalls, keeping stakeholders informed
- Develop product and industry knowledge to provide alternate solutions
- Identify and report data inaccuracies for system updates
- Evaluate supplier performance and suggest improvements
- Manage quality control claims and maintain corrective action records
- Review and process purchase order/invoice variations
- Participate in annual stocktakes
What They Are Looking For:
- 2-3 years' experience in domestic purchasing in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in MRP systems and intermediate Excel skills
