Momentum has partnered with this large-scale Government client to assist in sourcing an experienced Road Works Assistant for a major road works initiative based in Wagga Wagga, NSW. The position is offered as a contract role up to a period of six months, with the possibility to extend.

- $46.79 per hour, including 20% loading

About the role
As a Road Works Assistant, you will be responsible for the following:
- Assist in the construction and maintenance of bridges, roads, highways, and related infrastructure
- Perform manual labour tasks such as digging, shovelling and lifting heavy materials
- Perform traffic control duties as required
- Operate hand tools and power equipment under supervision
- Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times to ensure a safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
To be successful, you will possess the following:
- Ability to work in close proximity to traffic
- Strong, demonstrated experience in labouring, traffic control or related roles
- Experience in the operation of various tools and equipment
- C Class Drivers Licence or above
- White Card
- The willingness to obtain required tickets prior to starting in the role (WOF, Traffic Control etc.)
