Our client is a tier 1, globally renowned organisation who you will certainly be familiar with. They specialise in the design, development, and manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment. They work across a variety of industries such as transport, automation, and energy solutions. They are looking for an Electrical Fitter to join their team at the factory site in Rydalmere to inspect, test, and assemble MEA supplied rail and power industry equipment in a service workshop environment.

About the role
As an Electrical Fitter you will be responsible for the following:
- Inspect, repair, test and assemble MEA supplied rail and power industry equipment in a service workshop environment (occasional visits to customer's or supplier's site to do similar work)
- Carry out wiring according to Australian Standards
- Maintain stock accuracy as per the picking list (high level of house keeping required)
- Report any issues to leading hand/assembly area supervisor
- Adhere to all work health and safety procedures
- Driving of forklift to move materials (if licensed)
To be successful, you will possess the following:
- At least three years experience in a medium/large manufacturing or maintenance organisation
- Electrical Tradesman (or equivalent in suitable discipline)
- Adequate working knowledge of Australian Wiring rules
- Understanding and awareness of electrical safety
- Be physically fit
- Good crimping skills and ability to operate cranes and hoists to move material
