Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver essential goods to healthcare and commercial sites, starting at 3:00 AM
- Replenish stock within hospital environments, including storerooms, wards, and theatre inventory rooms, ensuring accuracy and care in handling sensitive supplies.
- Assist with periodic stocktakes, ensuring inventory records are accurate and up to date
- Unload stock using a combination of methods: forklift, electric pallet jack (provided on each truck), or hand unloading, depending on the customer's setup
- Navigate hospital facilities professionally, adhering to site protocols and maintaining a respectful presence
- Wear appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) when entering clinical areas to ensure hygiene and safety standards are met
- Handle trolleys (approx. 40kg empty, up to 90kg loaded) to transport goods safely through wards.
- Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with site-based contacts
- Maintain a professional, neat, and tidy appearance at all times
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members, demonstrating solid interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Apply a keen eye for detail when managing deliveries, stock placement, and documentation
- Use handheld devices or delivery software confidently to manage routes, confirm deliveries, and update inventory systems
- Uphold a safety-focused mindset and follow all workplace protocols
- Perform physical tasks safely and efficiently, including manual handling and pushing/pulling loads
To be successful, you will possess the following:
- Experience in logistics and delivery driving
- Physically fit, able to lift to 30 kgs.
- Valid MR & forklift license
- Must successfully pass a Drug & Alcohol test.
- Electric pallet jack and RF scanner knowledge
