About the role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Logistics Officer to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a senior, hands-on role within our operations function, responsible for overseeing purchasing, production planning coordination, and inventory control to ensure seamless supply chain performance and on-time customer delivery.
As Logistics Officer, you will take ownership of maintaining production schedules, managing supplier performance, and ensuring materials and components are available in line with business demand. You will play a critical role in safeguarding ERP system accuracy, supporting strategic purchasing decisions, and driving operational efficiency across the organisation.
Working closely with Sales, Engineering, Production, and senior management, you will act as a key point of contact for supply chain matters, proactively resolving issues, managing delivery timelines, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and service improvement.
This position requires strong commercial awareness, leadership capability, and the confidence to influence both internal stakeholders and external suppliers. The successful candidate will bring a strategic mindset, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing or operations environment.

To be successful, you will possess the following:
- Proven experience in logistics, purchasing, or production planning within a manufacturing or operations environment.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and inventory management processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage supplier performance and resolve complex supply chain issues.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence across departments and externally with suppliers.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
